Following a 2013 successful edition, the world’s leading international congress on automotive body finishing since 1964, SURCAR, will take place again this year in the heart of Cannes! Held every other year in Cannes, and every year in Asia (http://shanghai.surcarcongress.com), it brings together an international audience of 300+ decision-makers and experts in automotive body painting from over 25 countries.

Like all automotive Industry’s sectors, body finishing must improve in efficiency and answer growing environmental and innovation challenges. In 2014, the success of the first SURCAR in Shanghai reinforced our international specificity and marked our establishment in Asia, answering shared problematics throughout the world as well as specific Asian issues. Paint has an undiminished place in the definition and production of automobile car bodies. They will become lighter and lighter and will use combinations of more and more sophisticated multi-materials. The Technical Committee and its international experts have elaborated a program regarding the impact of this new design on shaping the future of paint engineering. Meanwhile, quality, cost reductions, environment, sustainability, regulation and energy control worldwide stay the central theme of our business, and will therefore be tackled on the second day.

These 2-days of conferences will gather high-level international experts, some of whom are first-time speakers, to discuss and gain insight on a global vision at this world-renowned congress with speakers coming from all around the globe (USA, Japan, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, UK, Iran…). Two main themes will be studied: car body’s evolution to multi-materials as well as cost-efficiency & globalization’s impact on bodies and paint.

It is also a unique occasion for car manufacturers, suppliers of surface treatments, sealants and paints as well as equipment and application facilities manufacturers to network and benefit from great business opportunities around:
