20 Years of MFN Training!
While MFN started its publication in the year 2000, it took an additional 4 years to establish its education department. This year, MFN could celebrate its 20th anniversary after it organized its first workshop!
In the meantime, hundreds of workshops and onsite trainings have been carried out across the globe and thousands of people have been taught, which have primarily taken place in Europe and Asia, and in North & South America, Australia, Middle East and Africa, focusing on the fields of shot peening, blasting, vibratory finishing, flap peening and peen forming.
It was not always easy to manage such events. Luckily only on rare occasions have we had to cancel or postpone training due to acts of nature beyond control such as bird flu, recent pandemic, flooding and even civil war. With over 30 MFN trainers from nearly 20 nations, the world seems to have become a smaller place.
One of the milestones achievements was when MFN received its FAA endorsement for its training. The US Federal Government Agency applies very stringent regulations on the courses. Once endorsed, one must regularly submit the training to the FAA every 2 years. MFN has had the endorsement from the Federal Aviation Authority for 18 years.
Maintaining the quality of the training is a big issue, especially if you offer training in many languages. Changing one slide requires considerable effort to make sure that it covers all languages. That is why we collect the changes for one year and then make the effort to integrate them. While we carry out the training in 8 languages, our main languages remain English, German, Chinese, Spanish and French.
However, having presentations for training is one thing, having access to good trainers is a completely different matter. MFN's pool of trainers consists of a variety of different personal qualifications. From highly experienced specialists from the industry, engineers with PhD grades, to company owners and professors, we have a good selection of motivated individuals that, depending on the case, can not only provide training, but also carry out a consulting on request. The trainers with their experience are the backbone of our education department. In the spirit of the 20th anniversary of MFN's education department, I would like to thank all trainers and participants equally. Without you, we would not have been able to reach this level of success!
