EADS-CASA is the latest Nadcap Prime Subscriber to successfully complete their NUCAP (Nadcap Users Compliance and Audit Program) Approval.  Their official approval was granted on April 20th, 2007, and they were presented their NUCAP certificate during the April 2007 Nadcap Management Council (NMC) meeting in Paris, France.  Pedro Arroyo Perfumo and Alberto Portal accepted the NUCAP certificate on behalf of EADS-CASA, which was presented by Jon Biddulph, NUCAP Chairperson.

Pedro Arroyo Perfumo, Head of Materials, Process and Quality of EADS-CASA MTAD explained:
"Special processes are extremely critical processes that require maintaining a constant stress to steer all our manufacturing systems towards the excellence in manufacture and process control. Both NUCAP and Nadcap programs, as an internal method and as means of control in the case of suppliers, are great tools chosen by EADS-CASA to move towards this quality commitment.  We are very proud of achieving NUCAP approval and of the fact that 85% of our suppliers already got Nadcap certification. Actually I am convinced that the control of our special processes has been improved due to Nadcap criteria mean one step further on manufacturing processes quality".
Currently there are six (6) Nadcap Prime Subscribers that have achieved NUCAP Approval, including Honeywell Aerospace, Vought Aircraft, Rolls-Royce plc, Bombardier Inc., Alenia Aeronautica and EADS-CASA. In addition, five (5) other Nadcap Prime Subscribers have scheduled their initial audits.

The NUCAP program provides major aerospace companies with the opportunity to strengthen internal quality procedures, assisted by independent technical experts. NUCAP also enables Nadcap Prime Subscribers to appreciate the supplier perspective and raises their credibility among suppliers about their commitment to Nadcap. Nadcap is the leading worldwide cooperative program of major companies designed to manage a cost effective consensus approach to special processes and products and provide continual improvement within the aerospace and automotive industries.
