– New show dates: 12 to 14 June 2012

Hannover/Stuttgart. O&S, the International Trade Fair for Surface Treatments and Coatings, has been rescheduled for 2012. The organizers of the event, Deutsche Messe AG and Messe Stuttgart, will now be staging O&S from 12 to 14 June 2012 in Halls 7 and 9 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. Originally the show was due to take place a week later.

The change of dates now means that O&S can once again open its doors to the public in parallel with LASYS, the international trade fair for laser material processing. "It was already apparent in 2010 that O&S and LASYS make a very successful combination. Both shows appeal to similar target groups", said Oliver Freese, Senior Vice-President at Deutsche Messe AG in Hannover.

Visitors from the automobile industry will find it especially worthwhile to attend the show in Stuttgart in June 2012. Taking place at the same time as O&S and LASYS at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre are no less than five other trade fairs aimed at the automotive sector: "European Automotive Components Expo", "Automotive testing expo", "Engine expo", "Automotive interior expo" and "Vehicle Dynamics Expo". This remarkable constellation of events is being staged by the British company UKIP Media & Events, a leading international organizer of trade shows for the transport technology sector.

At O&S 2010 an impressive line-up of 326 exhibitors from 14 countries presented energy-saving and resource-efficient products and applications for surface treatment. The displays covered 15,000 square metres of exhibition space and attracted an audience of 4,571 visitors from more than 50 countries. With its extensive range of offerings O&S is aimed primarily at trade visitors and users from the mechanical and plant engineering industry, the car industry and its associated component suppliers, as well as the electrical engineering sector and communications technology. The show is also of interest to professionals from the construction sector, the plastics and furniture industries, and medical engineering. O&S is staged once every two years by Deutsche Messe AG Hannover in collaboration with Messe Stuttgart GmbH.
