LaGrange, GA. July 8, 2025. Wheelabrator, part of Norican, has appointed industry veteran Matt Schweitzer to head its North American equipment sales business.

With more than two decades of experience in the surface preparation industry, Matt joins Wheelabrator with a deep understanding of both customers’ production needs and the shot blasting technology required to meet them. He will work closely with Wheelabrator’s global engineering and R&D teams to deliver tailored, high-performance shot blasting systems.

Matt’s career includes key sales leadership positions with Fastenal, Black Hawk Industrial, Empire/Gibson, and Winoa Abrasives, where he served as Director of Sales. He subsequently advanced to become Director of Sales & Marketing at Spark Power Corporation and held an executive-level position with a shot blast equipment manufacturer. Matt also holds an MBA from the Jack Welch Institute.

In addition to his leadership experience and market knowledge, Matt is also an AMPP-certified coatings inspector (Level 2) and holds a Level 2 E.I. shot peening certification.
