MFN was able to get an interview with Andreas Bügener, Managing Director of Sinto AGTOS.

(?) MFN: Mr. Bügener, Sinto AGTOS has been a well-known name in wheel blast technology for years. What makes your company stand out today?

(!) A. B.: Anyone talking about wheel blast technology cannot overlook Sinto AGTOS. We stand for innovative solutions and a clear strategic direction. As part of the Sinto Group, we have a strong foundation: an international network that enables local service worldwide. This proximity to our customers is crucial because it allows us to respond quickly and reliably—no matter where they are.

(?) MFN: You mentioned a clear strategy. What does that look like in practice?

(!) A. B.: Our strategy is built on four pillars:
• Standard machines, clearly defined by technical data sheets.
• Modular systems, configured individually from our AGTOS module portfolio.
• Custom solutions, tailored machines for complex tasks.
• Retrofit, the modernization of existing equipment—an essential area given the high quality and long service life of our machines.

(?) MFN: Technology is one thing, but what about your organizational setup?

(!) A. B.: From the very beginning, our subsidiary Sinto AGTOS Polska has been part of the group. There, a highly motivated and experienced team builds our machines with deep manufacturing expertise—from sheet metal in the high-bay warehouse to final assembly using state-of-the-art equipment. We can rely on specialists who bring their experience and know-how to benefit our customers.

(?) MFN: How important is digitalization in your approach?

(!) A. B.: It plays a central role. Digitalization ensures transparent processes, higher equipment availability, and improved service quality. It’s not about a radical change but about continuous alignment that delivers real added value for our customers.

(?) MFN: Sustainability is a major topic in the industry. How do you address it?

(!) A. B.: Sustainability is one of our guiding principles. Through consistent process optimization and highly precise adjustable air separation, we significantly reduce wear. This means longer service life, lower spare part costs, and a strong contribution to resource conservation and environmental protection.

(?) MFN: And innovation—can you give us an example?

(!) A. B.: We actively contribute to designing lean production lines. A good example is our newly developed drum blast machine with an exchangeable drum. The drum acts as a workpiece carrier and is used in different process steps. The automated changeover is handled by an intelligent shuttle system, which we developed together with a strong partner. This solution provides much greater flexibility and efficiency in production.

(?) MFN: How do you see the future for Sinto AGTOS?

(!) A. B.: With our combination of global integration, local service competence, digital focus, sustainable processes, and innovative solutions, we are well prepared for the challenges of tomorrow’s industry.

MFN would like to thank Andreas Bügener for this interview!
