In the Spotlight

The Dürr Group is one of the world's leading mechanical and plant engineering firms with particular expertise in the technology fields of automation, digitalization, and energy efficiency. Its products, systems, and services enable highly efficient and sustainable manufacturing processes – mainly in the automotive industry, for producers of furniture and timber houses, as well as in the assembly of medical and electrical products and in battery production. The Dürr Group generated sales of €4.7 billion in 2024 and currently has around 18,000 employees and 130 business locations in 32 countries. Since the sale of its environmental technology division at the end of October 2025, the business has been consolidated into three divisions: • Automotive: painting technology, final assembly, testing and filling technology • Industrial Automation: assembly and test systems for automotive components, medical devices, and consumer goods as well as balancing technology solutions and coating systems for battery electrodes • Woodworking: machinery and equipment for the woodworking industry

Dürr Launches a New Generation of Low-Pressure Spray Guns. The completely redesigned EcoGun ACE pro is lighter, more ergonomic, and requires fewer parts. The new low-pressure spray gun design simplifies handling and enhances operational reliability.

The EcoGun ACE pro builds on the proven strengths of its predecessor while being 23% lighter. The quick-change system for the color channel allows color changes in just a few seconds, with no flushing and virtually no solvent use. The nozzle inserts, designed for quick replacement, ensure a clean spray pattern, high transfer efficiency, and reliable results—whether you’re working with small batches or frequently switching colors, from automotive applications to wood finishing and yacht and boat building.

Revised Operating Concept

Dürr has significantly improved the spray gun’s operation with larger adjustment elements and optimized haptics for easier control. A new ergonomically correct rotary knob replaces the previous lever for regulating the spray air. This prevents accidental adjustments and can be fully closed if necessary. The optimized air valve ensures that the pressure is reliably set from the first trigger pressure point.

Fewer Variants, Greater Reliability

The EcoGun ACE pro requires only four air cap variants. Two conventional and two low-volume, low-pressure air caps cover all diameters from 1.2 to 2.5 millimeters across seven different nozzle sizes. This simplifies storage and reduces the risk of mix-ups. Additionally, to make handling easier and prevent loose parts, the air cap and union nut remain connected after removal.

New Design Marks a Visible Generational Shift

Visually, the EcoGun ACE pro stands out with a new bronze-colored housing and black controls. The design signals a new generation while maintaining the proven system principles. Dürr continues its tradition of low-pressure spray guns that offer robust industrial quality, precise spray patterns, fast color changes, enhanced ergonomics, and cost-effectiveness.
